Footwear, Apparel and Accessories Expansion

Storytelling Through a Unified Brand System

As Vessi expanded beyond footwear into apparel and accessories, it became essential that brand expression remained clear, cohesive, and immediately recognizable across every category. With the five on-product branding elements established, the next step was defining how these identifiers would be applied consistently regardless of form, function, or scale.

Clear guidelines around placement, hierarchy, and material expression created a shared design language across footwear, apparel, and accessories. These rules were not intended to restrict creativity, but to provide guardrails ensuring cohesion, strengthening brand recognition, and allowing the product to tell a unified story at every consumer touchpoint.

Rules for Product Unification Through Branding

• The Wordmark (“Vessi”)

   Used as a primary brand identifier and placed where it is clearly visible and instantly recognizable.

 

• The Signifier

   Functions as a secondary identifier, more discoverable than dominant rewarding closer interaction while reinforcing familiarity.

 

• Material Expression

   All materials and make are grounded in soft, waterproof construction, prioritizing comfort, fit, and a premium hand feel across categories.
